When Rainy and Cheri are outside, which is most days that I am around, they play on the concrete with their large collection of doggy toys. Rainy’s favorite chew toy is her mother, though. The other day when I gave Cheri a shampoo, when her fur was wet I could see how chewed up she has become.
Today Rainy gave mommy a break after she got ahold of some newspapers, the newspapers are for cleaning up her poop. When I went out to check on them the place looked like one of those hamster cages with shredded newspaper covering the floor.
Hey, Look What I Did!
Uh-oh! The Human isn’t Happy? It took her a few seconds to figure out I was not happy with her, but at least that didn’t require any spanking!
Rainy turned two months old yesterday and that means it was time for her to get her first vaccination. Ouch!!! The staff at the vet clinic held her still and coaxed her with treats while the doc stuck her with the needle. She didn’t like it too much, but she squealed less than the nurses!
I gave a cucumber slice to Cheri but she didn’t want it, she usually likes them. Rainy found it and ran off with it. After toying with it for awhile, she ate most of it!
Today Frenchy from Mechademia called and Rainy quickly joined our call. I realized that it was her very first. She didn’t have much to say, just squirming around in my hands while I held her up to the iSight camera so Frenchy could see the little cutie!
Frenchy is a real dog and cat lover. She stayed at my house a few years ago when she was in Japan on a Fullbright. She and Cheri got to be great friends then.
This evening, still quite pleased with my iPhone video camera, I shot some more video of the mama and baby beagle playing. Usually Cheri will let Rainy do whatever she wants but when I got one of Cheri’s two favorite toys out, she did not want Rainy to play with it!
This morning I shot some video with my new iPhone 4. It shoots great video, I was really surprised! And, it is quick and easy to upload to the internet.
I shot this video when I woke up, still in bed. Just like when I first shot a few videos of Cheri for CheriCast, a few years ago.
Rainy somehow managed to wrap the blanket around Cheri!
Now I am really against dry dog food. What sort of food can be stored in a hot warehouse for 3 years and still be eaten? Only with heaps of preservatives can this be possible so I make Cheri’s dog food. Usually a mixture of rice, chicken parts, carrots and kabocha squash.
Rainy is trying to graduate from mother’s milk to food, so she has been getting weaning milk for a few days and now I am adding dry dog food to it, until it is super soggy. Yuck!
Today she ate a whole dozen pieces or so of dog food.
* Posting pictures of my puppy eating her first food. I know, I know. I have become one of the parents I have made fun of so many times. Yikes!
